help with contacts, iCal and iCloud (no duplicates)

It seems I have about 3 duplicates of contacts and its looking really messy.

The iCal is even worse.

Any pointers.. I have an active iCloud account.

I think its more to do with that when I restore my iPhone I think I must check replace information on the this iPhone and I think thats whats duplicating things.

For me with MobileMe when I restore I never sync info from the computer. I always setup on the device itself and it's always been fine.

From experience you probably have iTunes set to Sync the contacts, calendar etc. Everytime you plug in the iOS device it'll duplicate all the iCal and Contacts information then push them out via iCloud/MobileMe. Turn iTunes sync off...

/Edit : you'll then need to clean up the mess on the Mac and wait for it to sync the changes back to iCloud/MobileMe.
