Hi, i have just modded a Dell Dimension 4400, but there is nowere to put any fans, my current set up:

CPU Fan, being directed straight out of the back by that green thing.
PCI slot fan.
And a 120mm on side.

they are all blowing hot air out.

Some pics. [Are bad, sorry]

As you can see a little on the side there are only little holes were the case clips in so i don't know if its doing anything?

Can i improve anything.

Graphics card, ATI 256mb something.

Well you can get PCI slot coolers not sure how good they are I have never used one... only other option I can see is getting dremel out and cutting another fan hole :) get some edging and a fan gaurd + 1 new fan and it will look as good as new

I would try and balance air in with air out.

If all are exhaust it will have to draw air in through any open holes or gaps, like the small ones round your cd/dvd drive slot!

Also will be slightly quieter as the fans will not have to fight to draw the air in to be able to exhaust it!

Don't want to sound thick or anything, but that fan on the side - looks to be solid plate behind it? You're blowing air onto the back of the mobbo support plate and not actually getting any air into the case...

lol, yeah it is pretty much all metal, in thinking of cutting it but i dont know what tools i'd need. under that is the pci slots so would be good to get some air in then i have a pci outtake.

Last one I did (last week) I sawed out a nice round hole in the thick side plate of a LianLi V2000B using nothing more than a jigsaw. Did a good job too. Put some masking tape over the surface if you don't want the saw to scratch the finish. All I have to do now is put one in the top of the case, but I really don't want to strip everything out so trying to figure how not to get bit's all over the motherboard.
