Hey guys. Last week i had a problem with my system where I accidentally punctured one of my ek radiators and it leaked into my system, ruining a fan on the bottom of the case as the Rad was front mounted. I have literally just tested the psu and see there is power coming from it as testing it with some old components I have and a spare mobo. The only thing on it that isn't working is the psu fan and I'm not sure if it can be remedied or not as I haven't got the cash for a replacement as it set me back 130 notes.

The fan on these PSU's uses a "Hybrid fan control" and only spin up at a certain amount of load.

Could it be this you are experiencing?

But have you actually done anything on your pc to push the power draw up and thus start to make the psu do some work?

But surely the fan should spin either way. Well I've turned the system on as the mobo is a m5g and I use the start button on the board to power it up

The fan will not spin while the PC is left idle, you need to stress the components and increase the power demand on the psu to get it to start to spin up slowly, then at another point in power demand it starts to spin up faster again.

The PSU fan is designed to stop and remain silent at low power usage.

AX750 will only spin when you initially turn it on and off, or if you load the system with a heavy enough power draw from the PSU, My one does not spin at idle(only at start up and shutdown), only seen it spinning even with a load is while doing a bench run with 3DMark 2011 in extreme preset(heavily over clocked CPU and GPU).

I'll tell ya That's a relief to hear. I thought I was gonna be without my system for ages. I'm just hoping my red cables I bought for it are OK now as was using them when I had the problems. Cheers guys
