hi i have a i7 2700k socket 1155 will be water cooling later but for now running it on air am after a good cooler with a white fan if possible but dont want to lose cooling performance just because of the fan cooler so open to suggestions

If you're planning on overclocking then the Phanteks CPU cooler or the NH-D14 (I believe Phanteks are the OEM of Noctua?) Both coolers are essentially the same.

If you're on a budget and plan on doing some light/mild overclocking, then my recommendation would be the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO for only £22, compared to £80 odd for the NHD14.

I didn't think phanteks and noctua were the same company but the phanteks is just about the best dual tower air cooler on the market at the moment. You wont be disappointed with it
