Hey guys just would like some help/advice with Crysis please.

Ok so playing Crysis (On Steam) and the game crashes at least every hour or so it just freezes and i get a black screen. also had once a message saying my Graphics card had stoped working and then recovered ?

So i'm playing it on Max setttings with AA at 16xq ??

My specs

I5 2500k (not overclocked)
MSI P67A GD65 (Bios 1.4 the one on the disk)
Gskill Ripjaw x 4Gb
EVGA GTX 570 (Superclocked one)

Just would like some advice on what this could be, i was worried that my GPU was broke or overheating but in game i use EVGA Precision and it never go's past 69 c but i have noticed when i exit the game the GPU useage could be up to 95 - 100 % is that ok ?

I have also googled it and some people have trouble with the Steam version because it is only 32 bit but the retail copy is 64 bit

Thing is guys is that i have just build this pc a few days ago and it's my first build .

Any ideas guys ?

Edit: I can play Starcraft 2 for hours and it has never crashed.

try turning the AA down to 8xAA...

As 16xQ is most likely running out of bandwidth in a game like crysis..
These very high AA settings are really there for using in old low demanding games

I'm actually having the same issue, but only in the last stages of the game. I've noticed that I'm using all 4GB of my RAM (64bit version) and my gpu usage jumps up and down from 65-99% (usually just a solid 99%) so I figure it's something to do with a lack of memory and disc accessing, especially since I'm playing it off a disc not HDD. Check and see what your memory usage is like. Maybe it's the same issue.

Put your GTX 570 back to stock clocks and see if crysis still crashesAlso try turning the AA down to 8xAA...

Hi and thanks for the reply, just to let you know the Graphics card is factory overclocked

Turn the AA down to 8x, i will do.

I was worried about my graphics card but i can run other games fine.

Thanks for the reply, is there a tool i can use to monitior RAM usage in game ?

Yep, task manager (ctrl+alt+del). Just tried running the 32 bit version and sorted my crashes (smoothed out gameplay loads too). Finally completed it :)

Hope you get it sorted bro. Try toning down settings if all else fails.
