I know CV threads come up often here at ocuk, but I'm unable to search due to 'cv' being to short :p

Okay here goes. My Dad's spent the last couple of days putting together this CV and it looks to me like the advice followed for the CV could have been from an American source. I think the layout of it is pretty good and the essential info is included, but something strikes me as not quite right and i know some of you will be able to improve it!

So without further addue could someone to a look and see what improvments can be made?

To me the most obvious bit that needs sorting is "about me"

Formatting
- Name is too big.
- Font looks a bit gash on my monitor, something a little less bold might be the way forward.
- The text looks too far to the right for me.

Content
- Objective? Replace it with personal statement, and make it a bit longer. Have an actual aim to be a professional whatever, "progress as far as they can take me" is a bit wishy-washy
- Use full sentences in the Experience section.
- The dates worked should be more like Jan 2000 to Jan 2008, as in consistent style. It refers to the date as just year, year and month, and exact date - it looks untidy
- Might be worth putting the training company that did the management type course in the 'qualifications' section.
- Should be Interests
- Interests should be specific i.e. following Swindon Town Football Club.
- About me - Should be in the personal statement
- Watch the grammar
