My 11 year old daughter has a old dell inspiron 1300 which she uses for web browsing. I just did a factory reset on it after it getting to crammed with junk it's running fairly fast now but wanted to upgrade the memory.
i downloaded cpu-z and it's running DDR2 pc4300 SODIMM now i know this memory should run at 533MHZ but cpu-z is saying the DRAM Frequency is 99.8MHZ which when doubled is 199.6Mhz.
The bios is locked so there is nothing i can do with it.
Any advice would be gr8
EDIT*-** is has 1x 256MB and 1X 512mb about 768mb in total RAM
i wanted to take it to 1.5GB just to keep it's speed and start up times faster as obviously things like firefox and other progs zap the memory i've searched for a bios password but can't get one so i can't fiddle with the bios and i'm not paying dell for it with how old it is
