Help with DS3

Hi, Happy New year all,
I cant get my computer to post when i install 4 1mb sticks of geil 6400 ram, although 2 1gb sticks is fine.
Please help, any advice welcome.
Ive tried searching the net but cant find any help.
Some one must have the same problem.

OK - make yourself a coffee and then rotate every stick of RAM through all the RAM slots and run memtest to be sure no stick of RAM is bad.

I also presume you are running 2T command rate as 1T would would give you the problem you describe.

Have you adjusted the RAM voltage up to 2.1V?

Have you overclocked anything as two of the RAM sticks may be able to handle the overclock while one or both of the other two might not.

Sadly I suspect that you will end up RMAing either the RAM or the motherboard.

Ok done, memory is all ok.
Cant see an option to change between 2t and 1t in the bios, dont know if you can change this option with ddr2.
Is anyone running 4gb of memory with a ds3 ?

Hit Ctrl F1 after you've entered the BIOS, then enter the M.I.T menu.

I must be short sighted, i cant see any option in the M.I.T section of the bios to change between 1t and 2t !!!!

I don't believe that option is available in the bios on the DS3. I've tried looking meself and couldn't find it (unless I'm missing something which is likely )

There is no 1T/2T timing option on the DS3 (I think I've only heard of it being on maybe one make of board for the Core 2 Duo chip).

Never looked much apart from the top few, guess you can't change it Though i think by default it won't be doing 1T anyway.
