hi i was having a few probs getting my kingston memory pc8500 up to 1066 and getting them in duel channel, the motherboard i have is the Asus M4A785D-M Pro AMD 785G, first off i put both my 2gb sticks in slot 3 and 4 (both blue) i red the board manual and its states to duel channel channel A my memory needs to have 1 piece in a1 and the other in a2 or b1 & b2, a1 being black a2 being blue, i thought you just had to match them up in the same colour slot, anyway i followed the manual and when i boot up check cpuz its showing my ram is in single channel, i have it in slot b1 & b2 (slot 2 & 4) is the board manual wrong do you think?

i have since tried putting my ram in slot a2 and b2 which are slot 3&4 and it now says it running duel channel?

For dual channel in that motheboard you should put both sticks in the same colour slots.

So your choices are,

1) use the blue slots, or
2) use the black slots.

Im using an ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO, more or less the same board as you :)

Got that same mobo as OP & the post above was useful in setting up my RAM sticks. Now have it running in Dual Channel & Unganged DC Mode.

Now, the bit that's confused me is the Memory OverVoltage setting: According to my RAM specs (Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4), at 4-4-4-12 latency settings I need to set voltage at 2.1V. So, do I simply increase the memory overvoltage setting to that figure?
