HI,

I've just bought my own domain name and trying to set this up with Gmail and Outlook.com but neither seem to want to allow me to just add a domain for sending emails.

Does anyone know of a way to do this without having to set up a whole emails server myself?

The company you registered your domain name might have guides/walkthroughs for doing this. Which company is it?

I doubt you'll be able to set the domain up for both gmail and outlook. You'll only be able to use one

Bought through GoDaddy. they do offer an email service but it's not free.. I have free redirections so I can receive mail ok, but I need to be able to send also.

I have office365 home but it's limited and won't let me do what I want.

It's currently using the Go-Daddy default MX record (smtp.secureserver.net) I guess they are using this for the redirection service. That is all working fine, but I'm trying to configure something to send as my domain. I know I can set up a mail server and re-configure the MX records, but I wanted an easier free way of doing it.

I've never used 365 pro or home so not sure what the home version allows you to do, but if you want to use gmail you could change the mx record to point to their servers and use that to send and receive email

You used to be able to do this for free with Google and Microsoft, but not anymore. Your choice is G Suite or Office365 (Exchange Online Plan 1 as mentioned by nightmare99).
