Hi everyone , after looking at peoples cases and cables management on this site (amazing B.T.W) and i decided , despite having no experience with a pc to cable manage my case and try a few mods i have seen.My case is the coolermaster 690 ii advance, i took the 140mm fan that came with the case out of the front and fitted it as a bottom intake fan next to the psu.The problem i have is that whilst the fan is running fine (connected to a 3pin header on the mobo) the blue led no longer lights up ?

Am i doing something wrong ? I tried to connect the fan directly to the psu using a 3 to 4 pin adapter and i got the same results, any help would be great.

Does the fan have some additional connection that you've forgotten to connect up? Sometimes cases have fans that have LEDs on a separate switch.

hi lads ,the light on the fan do work and it does have a extra connection ,bear with me and il try my best to explain. The fan has a red colored cable with 3 holes in and a white cable with 3 pins on ,now i plug the red cable into the mobo and the fan spins ,but i do not have any more cables to plug into the white cable ?.This sounds like gibberish i know but im just starting out with pc's .

that switch that turns the l.e.d on and off now resets my pc ? i have moved the fan away from it's original position and obviously plugged something else in where the led cable went before .

there should be a 2pin cable from switch to connect you other fan wire to the fan switch is on the left side at the top the reset switch is on the right side at the top same side as power switch
