Hey guys.

I have a 1995 Bmw 328i sport.

I did the fan delete mod a year ago when my viscous exploded and fitted a kenlowe fan kit. Today i noticed the fan hasnt come on lately and upon investigation the relay was corroded. I replaced the relay and still no joy and discovered the kenlowe thermostatic switch is dead.

My car doesnt have aircon but i have the aircon rad with the blank in the side. Can any of you electrical boffins Tell me if i could fit the fan sensor from the air con model and wire it to the earth on the relay and all would be good?

I dont really wanna use another kenlowe thermoswitch as i dont like the way it fits in the top hose.

Thanks in advance

The blank is the opposite side of the inbuilt expansion tank. iirc its the temp sensor for the aux fan on the air con models, im just concerned on the wiring as my car doesnt even have the loom plug for it.

I had the kenlowe version of that fitted. Ive done a bit more research and the 318i switch is ideal, but its 3 pin, 1 earth and 2 temp settings, i guess i just switch through the earth and come out of either temp? Just have to find out what pin is what.

If that fails ill buy one of those you linked as the kenlowe version uses a funny copper probe and a spongey gasket thing and looks like a bodge.
