help with faulty board

i bought a motherbord on the 30th march 2010, i only just got enough parts to get it up and running. But the board is faulty i cant find the reciept, but i bought it off a certain auction site and the feedback clearly states that it was that board and it was new. is there any way i could return it using that as proof of purchase?

I wouldn't think so no, Maybe a month or so but not a year almost and definitely not without your receipt.
