Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'm having keyboard problems with my laptop and was wondering if someone might be able to help.

I bought a ASUS TUF Gaming FA506IC from Overclockers UK back in May 2022, and I'm still happy with it 3 years later, but my keyboard is a little inconsistent.
Specifically, the 's' and 'x' keys don't always work, sometimes pressing multiple times from a quick input, sometimes taking multiple presses to get an actual input through, sometimes failing entirely for a few minutes.

I was going to send a ticket to the company itself, but have lost the order number. I could go to a local repair shop but if there's an obvious fix I'm missing I'd prefer to do that instead!
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
-Ovie :)

Login to your OCUK account on their site and view your order history.

You can get your order number from that (It will be the OCUK order number)

Failing that search\check your e mails as they send you an invoice e mail once the order has been shipped

Sounds like the keyboard needs replacing.

About same age as OP's. Wish high quality replacement keyboards were available, or keycaps.

OP maybe look at a external keyboard, not ideal but at least option.. place ontop of the keyboard, if you can disable the integrated keyboard so you don't accidentally press them.

I picked up a 75% keyboard so pretty much the same size...plus better quality switches, replacable switches also, PBT keycaps, RGB lit etc for less than £40

Keychron K3 Ultra-slim Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (UK ISO Layout) - Version 2

is similar to laptop keyboard you could go for that. 3 years, they could say that's "wear and tear?" what is warranty length?

can def give this is a try, the problem is that since it's a laptop keyboard it might be more complicated than just buying a new one

Aye, we have an old mechanical keyboard knocking around at home so I've been using that one, but it's a little too bulky to bring with me anywhere
