So someone accidentally deleted an excel file which had to be restored from a backup and resulted in significant data loss. So I want to deny domain users the ability to delete these excel files, but I'm having real difficulty doing this in windows 10. In windows 7 it was pretty simple, but the Windows 10 interface is terrible in this regard. I deny delete permissions to users and it doesn't seem to do anything?
