help with first build

i am new to this forum and to building a new pc for myself.

items i am thinking of getting below.

MOTHERBOARD -asus p8z77-v pro
CPU -intel i5 3570k 3.4 GHZ 6mb
MEMORY -corsair vengeance 16 gb ddr3
SSD -agility 3, sata 3 -6gb/s 2.5"
POWER -corsair tx 550w bronze

TOTAL COST ABOVE IS £484,

i already have below,

TOWER - coolmaster haf 932 tower (new)
CPU FAN - zalman cnps x11 perfoma fan cooler (new)
OS - windows 7 premium (6mths)
MONITOR - hp pavilian 22" screen (3yrs)
HARD DRIVE - seagate 1tb hard drive (1yrs)
- wireless keyboard & mouse

graphics card will get later but would like your recommended buys , (occasional games played)

I WOULD BE VERY PLEASED FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THE ABOVE SETUP,
ALSO ANY CHANGES YOU HAVE IN MIND.

i am not sure which motherboard to get as yet.

i have asus p5kpl-cm motherboard, geforce gt8500 graphics card , 4gb ddr2 ram ,intel quad core q8300 cpu,
standard intel fan,

i dont play games much just general use daily was just looking to update pc,
would it be much better than i have already.
