Hello

Well i have had a droning noise coming from the front which has been getting worse, and developed into a sort of thudding when going around a round about or a right hand turn.

so i had the whole drive shaft replaced and this has actually made it worse, ive had in at a different garage today and they have said its my coilovers admit im no mechanic but thats aload of ****, they said its because the spring isint under compresion, and i said that because they are coilovers and wouldnt that mean both sides would do it?

so anyway i have got the car back now and im no further forwards, so i put it too u lot

any ideas?

thanks

Does the nolise increase in fequency with the speed at which the wheel rotates?

Could be anything from a worn drop link, worn ARB bushes, worn arm bushing somewhere?

sounds like you have two issues

The drone will likely be a bearing - though this can't really knock going round corners, if id did you would be in big trouble!

With regards to the coilovers I suppose they could be an issue if one of the springs is snapped or one or both topmounts are gubbed -it shouldn't be difficult for a decent mechanic to diagnose tbh, maybe take for a third opinion? Was the driveshaft new?

hey, i thought maybe a wheel bearing, but i have had the car jacked up my self to see if there is any play and its absolutely solid, the huming noise seems to be the same at and speed, the spring are fine no problems there, guess it could be a top mount problem, and yeah its was a brand new driveshaft
