help with g card for 4k monitor?

thinking of getting a 4k monitor, i know absulty nothing about g cards could someoneone please recommend me one me please, i do fancy trying a few games to see how good they are

For 4K and at the very minimum for a single card and good experience I'd be looking at the 980 Ti.
