help with gaming pc under £900

Do you have an OS, XP ? If so you could use Win8 preview. Then when Win8 is released, use your old OS to up grade for about £40.

Yeah the case isn't perfect, but ok for a cm690 clone, has usb3 and good cooling options... Would've picked a different psu, but there's a lot of stuff out of stock right now. Still, it's good enough, and I'd go with it over the coolermaster.

I tried to balance it out by picking slightly better stuff like the mobo and way better stuff like the cooler.

Changing to the coolermaster psu, I'd spend the extra tenner on the case or the HDD. Don't like the Toshiba myself.

I see the alternative choices as pennypinching :)

Seems like your only reasoning is that Vortez have reviewed it and you trust Vortez.

I'd like to think I've given a a bit more detail in my thinking, but hey...

Better fan, lower noise and better passive cooling if you fancy it.
Perhaps lower temps, but I can't find a direct comparison.

Oh I don't doubt that's it's quiet enough (after all, I'm running 2 of those wingboost fans on my K2. Well, 3 including the 140) or that's it's a good performer :)

I just see no reason to recommend it over the Thermalright other than personal preference.
In outright terms the HR02 is superior in regards to both it's fan and heatsink.
