help with gaming pc under £900

The first two were never in question, the 3rd is purely subjective as you know :D Yeah, the TY140 fans were never known for their looks, but the performance on the other hand... Virtual legends.

I'm just trying to offer the best products for the price, not simply the ones that I like :)

And im just trying to show Stinger how to tweak his spec to get that Artic cooler swapped for something thats good, can do push/pull (fittings included) and isn't actually that much more £££.

I'm also suggesting what I think is the best sub £30 cooler in the Matterhorn Pure.

According to that Vortez review it doesn't come with a second set of fan clips.
Neither does the HR02.

And you still haven't managed to provide anything that states it's the best other than you like it and Vortez gave it five stars.
Those year old HR02 reviews on the other hand... (which incidentally were the first two I came across)

Look for good grouptests that involve the Alpenfohn 120mm Wingboost fan and note it's pretty average placing compared to what similar tests have to say in regard to the TY-140.

Anyway, whatever. They're both good. OP, get what you want. Just do your research first if you care that much :)

When I say push/pull I am referring to my suggest to Stinger about the Xigmatek Achilles II

Please read my posts again and carefully.

Don't patronize me Stulid.

It's already bad enough that you have a continual habit of telling people to buy 'this instead of that' and consistently failing to provide any real reasons or evidence to back up your suggestions other than a big dose of 'Because I say so' (or because Vortez says so)...

I'm not patronizing, just pointing out to you where you have gone wrong in misreading what I have said in my recommendation to another forum user in slightly tweaking their spec.

I think you need to calm down.

Don't try and paint me as some kind of bad guy here stulid. And don't you dare bring out the T word.

You need to bring more than just ego and uninformed opinion to the table if you don't want people to disagree with you.
If they do disagree, then you need to provide something more than just your opinion.

Half the time it's like you argue just because you have to be right, not because you actually are.
Maybe a couple of years and 37k posts will do that to a man? I dunno...

Anyway, I've said my piece and I'm done here.

Seems like it, you even tried to call me "allergic" in another thread when I don't reply to other posts and questions, which I had to explain to you why.

I do when asked, I also use to also post under my specs back in the day my reasoning why I suggested parts.

Experience;) with computer parts and what other people say about bits.

Anyway, I've said my piece and I'm done here.

So have I, I hope.

Sigh... Since you insist on missing the point even though I gave you the answer to this mistaken assumption in the other thread, I'll quote it again for you:

It's not about not replying, it's about having a 'because I say so' attitude when asked about certain decisions when no explanation has been given for that decision

Sigh... Since you insist on missing the point even though I gave you the answer to this mistaken assumption in the other thread, I'll quote it again for you:

Its not a say so attitude, its about being here long enough to have seen so much before, I may know things about specs and spending other peoples money.

You liked to point out my post count and time here;)

Oh kiss and make up or whatever it takes..there is worst things happening in this world than your disagreement or whatever it was. :p

I heard them intel SDDs were bad , I was advised by somebody to keep away from them.

They use the Sandforce controller is the only thing I can think of, some people don't like this.

Plenty of SSD's on the market use Sandforce controllers and perform as you would expect, it helps when the makers release firmware that is kept up to date and any issues are ironed out.

If you think you're right then back it up when asked. This kind of thing could then be avoided :) It's not a lot to ask is it?
Just as 'The pastes were tested on similar days and times. I'm sure I got it as close as possible' isn't really good enough, your experienced opinion simply isn't really good enough when you can provide little to no evidence to support it.

This applies to more than just this particular thread.

It's all good. I have no dislike for Stulid. As I've told him previously, I think he does a lot of good work on this forum that goes beyond helping people spec their systems and he's a great asset to OcUK for sure.

No hard feelings on my part I assure you :) Gissa cuddle Stu!? :D

I do try to, but as I explained yesterday I have a lot to do here moderating this forum and the MM forum, so I forget or miss the question aimed at me.

My experience here reading about tech, and personal experience with tech has taught me lots about whats hot and not, so sometimes I don't bother explaining my reasons why as it gets boring repeating the same old stuff, I use to when I first started out here justifying my specs.

Bacon for example has suggested a GFX card for RJC's spec here, no reason why, but he doesn't have to as he's correct.

As long as you promise not to try and do a reach around.

Whoop second time I've been praised ;)
Feel like a puppy with treats :p

I've seen a few people speccing that MSI card over the Gigabyte which I found confusing since the Gigabyte is the obvious choice and they are both the same price.
