help with gaming pc under £900

Why do I get the feeling that somehow people are mistaking this for a case of 'I can't take not having my spec approved'?

If that's the case, I'm speechless...

Oh, and finding it too boring to bother to give an explanation isn't good enough either ;)

Not me.

Like I said, I always use to and I try to when asked, but forget to or just miss the question completely

Deal with it.

This thread has gone massively of topic, no more.

thats including shipping. sorry 21 quid over. you could knock this down by getting the MSI z77 mboard which is on sale for abour 74 quid i think

link to msi mboard

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-202-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2261

would knock it down by 6 quid, but prob best putting extra 6 on gigabyte board. although the msi one above has an overcloking facility with it (not sure if gigabytes does?)

bit of an explanation.

i picked a fairly cheap gaming mouse. my dad uses it and it is spot on tbh. i use a £5 mouse at home and i can still play games and fine and get all the headshots i want.

the keyboard, is half decent. it has wasd and all the other keys you need. dont need a huge fancy dance keyboard imo. again i use a £8 keyboard at home and i can still play all games really well.

No SSD but as i mentioned earlier save up for one. or christmas is only round the corner. ask family member for one or ask multiple family members to chip in for one? maybe?

i also noticed i think (ive slept since i looked :D) some people putting the OEM I5 processor on. you only get 1 years warranty with the OEM as opposed to the 3 year on full retail. its defiantly worth forking out extra 20 quid or so for the extra warranty. (might just be me)

the case is down to persona preference. i own that shinobi case, cable management is brill, USB3 ports, lots of space. looks simple but awesome at the same time. go have a look at case if you like and choose a one you like.

Any comments / criticism on this build is welcome.

Im an nvidia boy :D

7950 is a good suitable choice (i think they OC better?)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-008-VX&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673

main advantage 7950 ahs over 660ti is 660ti only has 192 bit memory bus, so games like skyrim the 7950 would probably batter it. However there will be other games which the 660ti batters the 7950. and if the lad dosent really wnat to get into OC and just wnats something that perfoms out of the box. both cards will do. i know im sitting on the fence but i dont wnat to say one cards better than the other as there both good in different ways.
