Hi,

I have a budget of around 1200 max for a gaming unit including a decent 27 inch wide screen monitor. This needs to be able to handle the latest games. Not bothered about massive overclocking and don't want a tower so this is based on a mid size case.

Want a chunky SSD for game installations with ability to add another further down the line for the OS. Are they any bottlenecks of shortfalls in my config?

Any concerns with PSU given the r9 card?

Motherboard: Asus Z170-A Intel Z170
Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.9GHz
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C14 2400MHz
Case: NZXT H440 New 2015 Edition Case
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H60 V2
Power Supply: Cougar STX 650W 80 Plus
Solid State Drive: Samsung 500GB 750 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps Solid
Monitor: Acer 27" H277HU 2560x1440
Graphics Card: XFX Radeon Fury Triple Fan 4096MB (R9-FURY-4TF9)
Mechanical Hard Drive: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM

go for 16gb RAM, change the PSU to superflower or similar decent brand, get an NVidia 1070, install the OS on the SSD is a must for any pc now , partition 120gb for OS and the rest for games

Just like to add that the graphics card above comes with a bronze level psu.

The GIGABYTE GEFORCE GTX 1070 "FOUNDERS EDITION" 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-EXPRESS GRAPHICS CARD (GV-N1070D5-8GD- which is basically the same card comes with a gold level psu...oh and its £10 cheaper. So basically a gree 8 pack of strlla or a couple of macdonalds breakfasts which ever you prefer :D
