Help with gaming rig!

My friend has asked me to biuld him a computer like mine (see sig) but im not sure if the mobo is right or even if the cpu is right for him. I overclock it for him once and then leave it at something suitable. I got the mobo so i could add another gfx card later but im not sure hell be doing that so would it be better getting an intel chip board? He wants to play some strategy games and some FPS like CoD. Its been a while since ive even looked at computer parts so can someone give me a little advice on how i can change a rig like mine to suit him a bit better.

P.S. He doesnt really have a budget rather a need not to go overboard with anything.

That is exactly the decision I came to after a day or two of research. My Opty is holding me back. For gaming, with a whole new platform round the corner, you arent wasting money on expensive quad cores and dearer X48 boards.
