Hi
What is the best second hand gpu i should go for?
It's only for playing FIFA 15 mainly and mainly few others. I am not expecting 4252346 frames. Just want something decent.
Currently i am running i3 4330 @ stock with 8gb ram.
Budget is £70 max.

You should be able to pick up a HD7950 3GB (basically an R9 280) for around that money 2nd hand in the MM on here (you will need to get your post count up to get access - but its worth it!)

Should be a very capable card and run FIFA happily I would have thought

Sure, only 826 posts for him to go. He's made 150+ posts since 2012 so... Going by his average posts, he would get there in about 15 or so years! Good luck!

I will be honest, I didn't go and spend time doing background research on his posting habits, so my bad

Outside of MM on here, you might find something like a AMD HD7870 or NV GTX 570 / 580 around your budget OP. Hope that is helpful too :)

If you don't wish to go the second hand route, then the best choice would be a R7 250X which will run Fifa maxed without issue. It's essentially a HD7770. :)

Okay. Thanks a lot.
I have seen some people play on the onboard hd4600 on low settings.
Should i rely on this? or should i go for an even cheaper option?

thanks for the advice.
also is mm that good? as in do you get cheap items?

MM is OCUK Members Market. There will be an faq somewhere but basically you need 1000 posts to qualify.

You might be able to get a HD 7950 on ebay but I'd think you'd be lucky to get one under £80.

I wouldnt recommend running stuff on the HD internal stuff as its just despite what CPU manufacturers say, they aren't built for proper gaming a lot of the time. I admit they have a long way but they are no discrete graphics card.

AMD Matt has made a very viable option - should be a very capable little card for £65 :)

If you are going to be a more active member on the forums then the MM is definitely worth working towards as there are a lot of really good peeps on there and some real bargains to be had

Hi HPTL7,

Here is a link to a **B Grade** Sapphire HD 7770 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BG-104-SP&groupid=595&catid=683

It costs £89.99. It has 90 days warranty.

The card the AMD REP linked to is the new replacement for that card. It costs £65.99. It has 2 years warranty. It is also under your £70 limit.

I am only posting this cause i am burning with curiosity as to what card you actually buy :p
