Help with Graphics cards

Hi guys,

I am building my first system, and I was wondering what is the best graphics card that I can get for £100, I know the X1900 series is coming out from ATI soon, will this cause a drop in prices and should I wait untill then?

for £100 id say a 6600GT

the 1900XT will only cause a drop in prices for all the current high end cards, not every card on sale...

the x1600 pro and 6800LE and X800GT is around the same price how do they compare?

6800LE a bit slower at stock than 6600GT but may be unlocked.
X1600pro is slower than 6600GT
X800GT is a bit faster than 6600GT

Your pick they are all pretty close.

bcoz i m pretty much in the same situation as phantom here, at 1st i was going to go for X1600 XT but soon found out it had poor performance, now i cant decide between nvidia and x800 series bcoz nvidia have shader model 3 or wotever..... pls help me as well

Note the X1600XT is a faster card than the X1600Pro i mentioned above & is about even to the 6600GT.
