I'm a bit of a newbie re networks.

I have an ADSL line with the BT Homehub modem/router. This is has 100Mbit ethernet ports x2.

I have a Desktop PC with Gigabyte ethernet that connects to hub
and a Gigabyte NAS box - I'm limited to 100MB/S due to the limitation of the BT HomeHub. I also connect a laptop to the HomeHub (wired), instead of the NAS, which is also Gigabyte ethernet. I have an Iphone and other laptop that connects to the HomeHub over Wireless.

If I add a Gigabyte Ethernet Switch to the network and use this as my main router that I connect the Desktop PC and NAS/Laptop to (I would then connect the BT HomeHub to one of the ports).

I'm guessing this will enable gigabyte ethernet for my Desktop/laptop and NAS whilst still enabling me to connect the Iphone/other laptop to the hub over wi-fi and enable them to browse the net, albeit at 100Mbit speed (which is fine for internet access)

Am I thinking along the correct lines?
