Help with hosting UT3 duel game

I'm trying to play a mate at UT3 demo, but when he finds my game and tries to connect it just says connecting and thats it. Its the same when he tries to connect to me. Is it to with ports? if so which do we forward as it doesnt say in game

loads of people seem to be having these sorts of issues

theres a thread on the be members forum with people blaming it on be there ! doesnt help you i know, but i though id mention you're not the only one, so im thinking its a demo fault.

how do u enter email address every time i use the @ it opens the consle.

Copy and paste from notepad/character map, or change the keybinding for ' (singlequote) in the ini.

As for networking, forwarding port 777 should do the trick. In theory.

As for the server issues, i think the problem is XP and Vista only allow 11 connections and the game itself dose not bind to one IP, a friend of mine who has a server in a data centre had to set up a virtual machine to run one.
I don't think there is any fix as of yet...probably best going on the epic forums.

ah ok, seems like im sticking to playin on empty servers with him then. Cheers, i'll have a scout around
