Help with HTPC build

Hi All
I need a bit of help on a htpc build.
I’ll more than likely use a ThermalTake DH102 for the case as I love the screen and want a bit of bling factor

I have an Asus HD 3870 that is just gathering dust so I’ll want to use that I know it maybe overkill but I’d like to use it anyway and put it to some use. I’d also like to stick with Asus for the mobo because Ive always used them in my pc builds and they have never let me down and have always been rock solid.
I won’t be building this for a few months got to save up the funds.

So could you guys suggest a motherboard, psu and cpu?

I would recommend asking when you are ready to buy (and tell us a budget). I spec'ed myself up 2 HTPC builds when I was thinking about building one, and I went for something totally different when I actually decided to buy one.
