Hey guys just brought 8ghz of hyper x savage ram to go with the 8gb I already had and my pc wont boot no matter how loose I set timings ect any ideas l?

When I had just 8gb in rig the ran at 2400mhz @ 1.65v timings 11,13,14 32 1t

Wacked the other 8gb in no chance wont have it

Tried the new 8 @ those settings yep fine

But all 16gb together not a hope

Helllpppp lol

try clocking the ram down to a lower frequency, it could be that the memory controller cant handle the load with two 8GB sticks at 2400mhz.

As in I should have brought a 16gb set rather than 8 then 8 again?

I thought the would run being same sticks even though there probably built different times I didn't know it was a big thing but cheers for heads up

Got them as they were on sale cheap on Overclockers

Back to 8 gb then you think or try ad the chappie said above lower MHz to 2133 and try?

Windows re-installed now fresh no flashing screen ect all good on the 2 sticks

Yer as above you need to manually find the right Voltage, speed and timings.

I've not got much experience with AMD motherboard/cpus but mixing two different sets of sticks with different timings/volts is troublesome. If they are the same speed, timings and roughly the same voltage then it should work but you may need to fiddle with volts.

There same make speed and rated voltage

The both run fine @ 2400mhz alone but all 16gb wont

Thinking the memory controller cant cope

So will stick with 8gb as the apu chip loves fast ram and don want to lower the MHz

Looks like my sons rig just got some new ram lol
