Just set up my friends PC to use his HDTV as a secondary screen for watching movies and stuff... Now he has a Radeon card which had 2 DVI and an S-Video or an on board Radeon which had HDMI out. I decided to use the onboard since it's natively HDMI (no adaptor needed) and can also handle sound. I've got the video running fine, his monitor is running on the graphics card and the TV off the onboard, only thing I have no control over is the sound, which keeps coming and going!
For movie watching I've made it work as VLC media player has the AMD Hi-Def audio set as its output, but for games or internet browsing I have no way to force the audio. When I first set it up the audio was sent to the TV fine but has since stopped. Anyone know of a way to get any configuration for the Radeons audio over the HDMI?
