I've got a 27" Late 2013 iMac with the standard 8GB (2x 4GB sticks).
I'd like to upgrade the RAM with a 16GB kit as I'm beginning to notice a slight performance dip in certain tasks. I've generally used a matched upgrade from Crucial when upgrading any machine in the past, is this still my best move?
I've already looked on Crucial and can get a 16GB upgrade for about £120 inc VAT. I think I can get the same kit on the rainforest slightly cheaper but I'm not 100% sure it's the correct kit. Would someone be able to confirm if I'm allowed to post a link?
Is it also worth me keeping the standard 8GB in my iMac as well, along with adding the the new 16GB? Any problems mixing RAM sizes/manufactures in a mac?
