Help with Ipod

Hi guys, i connected my new Ipod to my laptop. I created a new folder called My Music and transferred some songs into it.

But when I on my Ipod, there is no such folder or any songs in it. Any ideas?

Yessss.......that's because the songs are filed on the iPod using Apple's own filing system. They're all on there, in hidden folders with indecipherable names.

Basically the iPod is not a drag and drop player.

Have to use iTunes to sync the player.

The songs are there and the iPod can see them, but you'll have to use a program that can read the file structure - e.g. iTunes, SongBird, WinAmp - if you want to modify the content.

If you're using it on a mac then Yamipod is quite good. If you're on a PC then you can just enable viewing of hidden files and folders and drag your songs over into the Ipod that way. Personally though I just use iTunes on both PC and Mac. :-)
