Ok i was messing about with dxtory recording some Dayz and think i set it up wrong and ended up filling what was left on my 750gb drive .

The file is about 276gb in size and no matter what i try i cant delete it . Safe mode/dos tried em all . Now normally i would just boot winpe and delete it that way but nope.. wont boot my machine (Win7 64 ultimate on a ssd) It just blue screens at the end when loading the GUI .

Built a new image of UBCD4win and tried that but same issue as winpe . So how do i delete this file ? Im guessing some sorta bootable linux distro but have no idea what one .

HELP!!

Sorry but how does that get round my issue ? Windows wont delete .. safe mode wont .. dos wont .. how does moving it to a caddy help ?

might be worth trying to run chkdsk on the drive to see if it needs repairing before delete is possible.

drive is fine .. no errors in windows or hdd diags . Anyone suggest a cd bootable (ie: runs from cd/dvd) version of linux with a gui i can use ?

because of the size (1 file 276gb avi ) windows just chokes on it .. as does dos . Normally it would be a 2 min job with winpe ..But i think because its based on winxp its flaky with my sata controler and wont load
