help with leds

hi i am looking at adding 2 red leds as eyes on the front of my case would like them to blink when there is hdd activitay so was just going to splice into the origanal cable for the hdd activiay cable thats on the case that conects to the mb is this safe to do

Probably will be ok. I'd imagine the positive wire will be 3.3v or 5v so you'll need to check and get the right resistor/resistors for the job.

I'd imagine that three LED circuits on the single activity wire will be ok as you'd likely only be drawing 60-70mA.
