Hello All,

I finally received my LG 38WN95C today which is utterly amazing to be honest.

I am having one problem in that when I run the monitor at 3840 x 1600 @ 120hz or 144hz over Display Port half of the screen is covered in weird vertical lines like the GPU and monitor are not playing nice. At 75hz and below all is fine.

The spec of my system is in my signature below.

I have updated the drivers for the monitor and have the most current Nvidia drivers too.

To provide some more detail and testing I have now tried the following:
  • Borrowed my neighbours PC from next door who has a 3060TI still the same issue.
  • Tried 4 different DP cables
Below is a picture of the problem.

Time to send it back or RMA it I think. I have one as well and have never experienced this issue, but have experienced similar issues that only affect half of the screen (only when running under macos at 144hz).

Don't quote me on this but I think internally the two halves of the screen are split to allow for the ability to run two computers side by side on one screen. Looks like your right side might be screwed?

Yeah I am currently going through that now, so disapointed as due to a number of ridiculous reasons I had a six month wait on the monitor.

First day I get it the monitor isnt up to scratch.

Since then the monitor has completely died!

Did you ever get this resolved? I have this exact same issue, ordered through Amazon and they are sending a replacement. Wondering if this was in fact a defective monitor or something else in your system causing this. I guess we'll see in a few days when the replacement arrives.
