Help with Linux :S

Hey all, i Have got This specs pc..

Amd sempron 3400+
768mb ram
2x80gb hd IDE
1xDVD Burner.

Anyway. I want to turn it into a server. I want to run a program called Webmin on it and also be able to run websites. I would also like to use it as a backup place for at my home.

Can you lot suggest what version i try. And basicly how i do it. .

I have jumped in and i am using debian, 3.1

I am trying to get it to work with my sweex 10/100 card. Its LA00040 or somthing like that. there is linux drivers but how do i go about installing them..

I just thought doe mepis have "apt-get" main reason why i am wanting debian..

Thats really good.. This sounds good. I am going to try it tomorrow.

I want to use it to share a hardrive i have as a network drive i hear i need "samba" for that. Possible a print server but its not important. I then want to use a program i can't what its called but it allows me to point a domain i have at it even though i have a dymanic ip. And then lastly i want to run a torrentflux website from it. So i can manage torrents from my PDA ect. What do you lot think to all this?

I gave up with having a server at all. I now have one in DC! thats where i will host my sites from. I am running centos and cpanel.. I am slowly learning for linux on virtual machines using vmware and centos!
