I am trying to find places to stay to get to Pinner, HA5 3HR. This is for 1st week of December.

I do not want to stay in Harrow. Can anyone recommend anywhere else I can stay and commute to Pinner in around 30-40 mins? I did look at hotels near Euston but they seem expensive. My budget is around £400

Uxbridge town centre premier inn seems reasonable but not sure if expensive to take tube down into Pinner?

I'm not sure how close you need to be to your location, but I'd say most place in zone 5 & 6 of metropolitan tube line will be ok. i.e. anywhere north or west of Harrow on the Hill where the Met Line branches.

Uxbridge to Pinner would be about a 40 minute journey (Uxbridge -> Harrow on the Hill -> Pinner). Uxbridge is decent, lots of restaurants/shops/a couple of pubs.

I know you say Harrow isn't an option, but there's a Travelodge which is fairly cheap. Harrow is very close to Pinner too, maybe only 15 mins on the tube.

Another option is Watford - there's a Premier Inn and Travelodge there.

Thank you. Need to be 30-40 mins away.

I am not fan of traveloge.

Only problem with watford premier inn is that tube not close by. Uxbridge premier inn tube close by.

Would it cost more on metropolitan line from uxbridge to pinner vs watford?

Not sure why you have ruled out Harrow but looking at Uxbridge. They are both equally awful imo but Harrow is far more convenient for Pinner.

There is a Premier Inn in Rickmansworth which is a nice town. Bit of a walk from the station but you're looking at a 30 minute commute in total which is not bad.

When I have to work in London I always just use the Premier Inn Hub at Kings Cross, it's cheap for the location, clean & the tube is about a 90 second walk away.

Why would you be looking at staying in Euston to commute to Pinner? That makes no sense to me as it is way too Central. It takes longer than your 30-40mins time requirement for starters.

Personally I'd just search for hotels either in Pinner or near another stop on the North-western end of the Metropolitan line (since that postcode is really close to Pinner station). Premier Inn Croxley Green is £313, 20min walk to the tube though.

The good thing about that one is it's really near the tube station. The bad news is it's on the wrong leg of the Metropolitan line, so you'd have to change at Harrow-on-the-Hill.
I wouldn't worry about the price, it will be cheap.

Finally, don't dismiss just finding a nice reasonably priced hotel that's a few miles from Pinner and just getting an Uber, what you lose in transport cost you might save in hotel cost.

Uxbridge premier inn seems to have nice reviews. Your right about metro like changr but even then is the ride not £1?

It's a pile of poo there now. I moved away from Pinner partly because Harrow got so bad it was inevitible that it would spread out towards Pinner.

I’ve only been Pinner a few times, not explored it all, nice place from what I saw, past family connections from Pinner who lived there in the 40s/50s.
Guessing it was a very small place from the old photos I have.
I think Elton John or may have been some other famous artist grew up in Pinner at the same time as my family.

Pinner is nice. I was referring to Harrow which borders Pinner. I saw the state of Wembley work its way up to Harrow and thought Pinner would be next. So I moved away. I've been back since and Pinner itself is still nice but surrounded by less nice areas.

I assume it will be about £2-2.50. You won't pay extra for changing, as I said don't worry about the price, it's more that you didn't seem to like Harrow so I'm just pointing out you'd be stood around on a platform there after dark.
