Hi guys, I need some help figuring out what might be bottlenecking my system or what upgrade might be best for me.
When I play I usually have CoreTemp and GPUZ open to monitor CPU load and GPU load, and more often than not, neither is above 50%. Sometimes, a single thread on my CPU will be between 60-80%. My framerates however, are in their 20's. Is something else bottlenecking my CPU and Graphics card, preventing them from doing more work and thus reducing framerates?
I play mostly: DayZ, Arma, Rift, CS:GO, Dota2, Civ5, Skyrim
Spec:
CPU: AMD x6 1055T, no overclock
GPU: XFX Radeon R7950, no overclock
MotherBoard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
Memory: 2x Kingston ValueRam, 4GB Total
OS Drive: Crucial M4 SSD 128GB
PSU: CoolerMaster Silent Pro M 500w
Also a Samsung BluRay drive, and a 500GB Western Digital disk drive. Zalman Silent CPU cooler.
The SSD is Sata 3, while my motherboard is only sata 2. Is the transfer of data around my system too slow? Is my power supply not quite good enough? Is my motherboard and memory combo too "cheap" (around £70 for the lot) for the rest of the system?
So I don't really know where the main cause is for my low loads and framerates. Any help would be appreciated, and if you can suggest an upgrade, max I can spend is around £100, maybe 150.
Thanks
