Hey all,

I'm sure many of you know about the ridiculously vast amount of problems with the console, and in particular the PC version of Fallout 3.

I'm pretty much sick and tired with the way Bethesda has addressed this issue.. which is pretty much sod all; and I'm looking for help into making an official complaint to some sort of regulator that can look further into this.

Would the correct body be Trading Standards? or is there somewhere better?

Many thanks!

I know of problems with the ps3 version of Fallout 3, but I can’t think of any major problems for the pc version.

Either I'm stupidly lucky or those bugs don't exist, because my experience of Fallout 3 was bug-free apart from the usual AI pathing problem.

I think I am lucky too then.

I had a bug free experience with the game and thought overal it was a fantastic game. Best Ive played in years for originality.

Be serious mate what do you think they are going to do about your complaint? I think you should maybe worry about more important things in life other than a game that was not up to your satisfaction.

And how many of those bugs have effect you ?

No idea, I can't even get past clicking 'New Game' without it freezing on me.

And I've tried everything that Bethesda told me to do to fix it, fixes that the community have posted and popular fixes by crackers like the one by Skullptura and none of them worked.

Many, many people have the same problem, others get varying problems that make the game nigh on unplayable and the game has been out for 4 months now with no fix.
To buy something that you can't even use is frustrating, to be on the 4th month since it's release still waiting for a patch (with extremely little communication from Bethesda on their own forums or otherwise) is ridiculous.

I'm a patient person but being unable to actually use something I paid for, for nearly half a year.. something needs to be done.

This may sound ridiculous, CRAZY even.. perhaps I deserve to be in an asylum for this next sentence:

When I pay for something I expect it to WORK!

Obviously, there's always going to be problems with software especially with an infinite amount of different rigs and system setups, but 4 months down the line since release and they haven't even addressed the issue is preposterous.

Moderators have locked my topic on the official forum on the grounds that petitions are not allowed on their forums.. basically criticism towards the company is not allowed

I love Bethesda for making games I really enjoy, but like most companies their customer relations are extremely poor and their committment to their products are equally poor.

Yes that is fair enough but this issue is not effecting everyone. I played straight through the whole game, no bugs, no performance issues. No problems.

In fact I thought the game was flawless compared to some of the releases lately.

I think I would have to be CRAZY to complain about the game personally.

Played it right through multiple times, guess I have logged over 100 hours on the game so far, havent encountered any bugs at all. Not saying that there arent any, just that I havent had a single one. All in all its been one of the best games I have played recently in regards to bugs.

Probably not the news you want to hear, but I think your efforts are wasted, nothing will come of the official complaints. There is a huge fundamental difference between a product not working at all, and a product not working under certain circumstances (circumstances in this instance being systems). Had it been a product which wasnt working at all, then you may have a good chance, but the truly enormous majority of folks (this one thread being just a single very small example of evidence of it) around the globe arent having any significant issues at all, and that will heavily weigh against the impact of any official complaint

The best evidence I can give for people having problems is the official forum section:

http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showforum=35

You can see from the earliest threads just after the game releases (October) people had the same problems we do now 4 months later.
321 pages of various problems with no fixes.
