help with mario kart ds

I'm getting really stressed now, how do you unlock the last two retro grand prix cups on 150cc, I got rank b for shell cup and rank b for banana cup, is that not high enough to unlock them, any help greatly appreicated

Edit - also who is the best charactor/kart to use, atm I'm using Luigi with the poltergust 4000

I think you have to ace the shell and banana cups. Luigi in that kart is probably the best all-rounder so I would stick with that.

I have completed Mario Kart with all kart + chars (including R.O.B)
You need to get 1st place in ALL of the cups which will unlock it.
Re-do the ones with sliver and bronze tropheys(sp?)

EDIT: Its not over yet, you will have 150cc Mirror when you get 1st place in all cc's.

MK is very very easy once you start to snake. I'm glad nintendo decided to implement it to fill in the boring hold down b straights in *** game.

Yeah i found the ranking itself didnt mean the slightest thing

First place in the cup is the only way forward

Completed it in a week, absolutely everything unlocked, havnt touched it since

^Multiplayer is what mario kart is designed for! Silly goose.

Triple star rankings are fairly easy, just avoid the red and blue shells and it's very easy.
