Hi there, just ordered some new parts for my pc and was not taking a lot of notice when i saw 8gig of ddr3 ram on sale of £35 so added it to my order

I had this motherboard http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-385-GI&groupid=701&catid=1903&subcat=2046 970 A-DS3, a AMD Bulldozer FX-4 Quad Core 4100 Black Edition 3.60Ghz and some Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-14900C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-076-PA&groupid=701&catid=8

Will this memory work with a AMD motherboard and build or will i have to send it back because i am a bit thick lol. Thanks for any help :)

PS I Just checked Motherboard manual, i got a version 3 of the motherboard and it does do XMP profiles if memory module supports the feature

It should work fine, AMD and Intel DDR3 is the same. There may be an intel profile which an intel motherboard bios would recognise, but you can run it at the rated frequency in any system.

You may need to set a ram voltage manually in bios to 1.55V - 1.6V at 1866MHz.
