Is it the CAS4 Geil?

If so, change the first four RAM timings in your BIOS to 4-4-4-12 and raise the memory voltage (vdimm) to +3 (2.1v).

being new to this could someone please explain what these timing s mean and what effect altering them will have in real terms. ie)a major performance boost or not?

sorry to be a pain but how do i change the memory timings exactly i have altered the voltage to 2.1 but can not findanywhere in the bios to alter the memory timings.

Please help i am getting a headache

hello

I have altered my mem timings to recommended as well as the voltage. A new question has come up now however, should my memory speed be a factor of my processor speed? will i see an improved performance if i alter mem and bus speed to match one another?

does the mem multiplier work in the same way as the cpu multiplier ie)i can reduce mem frequency to 300mhz x 3 to get 900 then increase cpu to 2.7ghz or alt push the cpu to 2.4ghz to match the 800mhz mem.

is this correct or have i misunderstood how it works??
