So recently I’ve been running into some issues when trying to play to 2 games I mainly want to play, them being Fortnite and Battlefield 2042. I run both games on the lowest graphics yet still getting a lot of micro stuttering to my fps. I’ve tried pretty much everything when it comes to what google says, basically changing my power plan, shutting down unused programs, turning on game mode, putting the game into high performance under graphic settings. I’ll also like to add that my SSD has at least 400+ GB free space as well, I’ve only had the PC since July 2023.

PLEASE HELP!

SPECS:

GPU: RTX 3060
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
RAM: 16GB Corsair DDR4
Storage: 1TB EVO SSD

Would be good to check if your hardware is running correctly first. You might have already done this.

I would start by installing temperature checking software for your graphics card such as CPUZ and something for your CPU.
Then run standard type benchmarks. Even something like Userbench might be fine. But the cpu forum tends to use Cinebench, and you can get Unigine to test your graphics card for free.
A program such as CPUz will tell you if your memory is running at the correct speed and not 2400.

So download CPUz, Userbench and Unigine? Thanks for your reply!

I use Razer Cortex to boost and delete unnecessary files

Try disabling this.

Here's a how-to for Afterburner:

Open MSI Afterburner: then click on Cogwheel on the left
Settings > Monitor > Active Hardware Monitoring Graph
Checkmark these: GPU Temperature, VRM Temperature, GPU Usage, Memory Usage, Core Clock, Memory Clock, Power, CPU Temperature, CPU Usage, CPU Power, RAM Usage, Framerate and Frametime
Go Under Frametime > Show in On-Screen Display > Select text, Graph
Go to top menu then On-screen Display then Toggle On-Screen Display > set it to ctrl + f12
Now go into Rivertuner Statstics Server > Setup > Enable Frametime History overlay
Now play a game and use ctrl + f12 to show fps

Stuttering can sometimes be write delays on the HDD or SSD. Check that enable write caching is enabled on your SSD from device manage.

Other thing it can be is stuttering from TPM, make sure you have the latest BIOS on your motherboard.

Another thing, download the latest AMD chipset drivers from AMD website, in the past I have had stuttering issues with AMD drivers being out of date.

I am playing these games online. Me and my friend play Fortnite and we’re both in the UK and he doesn’t have any problems
Yes but your connection will be different to his , ping , etc.

Play offline if you can and see if you have the problem.

This wont help, but my son messaged me saying he can't get fortnite to work on our pc at home and that's a 5800x with a 3080fe..., and he's updated nvidia drivers etc...I wonder if latest update of fortnite is to blame, rather than pc itself. I'm just about to tell him to uninstall it and reinstall again, see if that helps
