Help with Missing HD...

Hi,

Upon logging in to my mac this evening i discovered that my hdd icon is no longer present in my finder or on my desktop, this is really confusing and i do not know how to get it back, can someone please help.

Click ya desktop so that finder is focused (Finder appears in the toolbar) then click Finder > Preferences and General will have checkboxes for what you want on your desktop, then Sidebar has the same for what you want in your sidebar. Hard disks is on both.
