So for a few weeks now my head is melted trying to decide on a new monitor, primarily for gaming.
Currently using Dell U2412 24" IPS, great screen but im keen to go with a 144hz screen, i hear once i try it ill never go back to 60hz

A few months back i had a nice LG 2560X1080 monitor, really nice but not all games supported such res so i sold it on.
Two years ago i had a catleap 2560X1440 screen but being honest i wasnt overly impresssed with this res compared to 1200p , it wasnt much better looking at all and got an offer to sell for what i paid for it inc shipping from Korea,so again i sold it on.

If budget allowed id ideally like to go with one of the 1440, IPS,144hz screens but they are very expensive.
Right now im thinking a nice 1080,144hz,Gsync might be the way to go as i would rather compromise on resolution rather than 144hz amd Gsync, i feel my heart is set on 144hz.

Im looking at monitors from Benq,AOC and Acer, cant decide which to go for and.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Finally are the cost of the likes of asus ROG and Acer Predator 144hz,IPS,1440 monitors likely to come down?
I see they already have updates coming soon.

moving from 60hz to 120/144hz is so frigging good, 60hz to me looks bad now (i know i shouldnt be snobbish but it does)

I own the ASUS ROG Swift which i bought second hand for under £400. They can be had quite cheap these days. Even more so when the new screens hit :)
