Help With Monitor

two dvi yeah sorry, was about to correct that. Yeah I have a HDMI-->HDMI cable that I am not using atm. I have a VGA-->DMI adaptor in now for my monitor to the GFX

If you don't have any DVI ports free on your graphics card then you could use the HDMI connection and this cable. As Aexia says, using this will result in no loss of image quality.

If you have a spare HDMI(male) to HDMI (male) cable already then then you can buy the cheap adapter Axeia linked to in post #16 and connect this to the DVI input on the monitor, then connect the HDMI cable between the graphics card and the adapter.

Let me rephase it, on my GFX I currently have:
-Two DVI ports - one of them is in use.
-One HDMI port.
-Two smaller ports that look similar to HDMI but are much smaller.

Ok, that sounds like you have a modern AMD graphics card. Those small extra ports will be mini-Display port. Unless you have a displayport monitor or want to add a third/fourth monitor then you can ignore these.

The simplest connection would be to buy a DVI cable like this and connect the monitor up directly to the remaining DVI output on the card.

The cheapest option would be to buy the DVI to HDMI adapter Axeia linked to and use your existing HDMI cable.

Great, so I'm all set then :) Wish me luck :) Will post a pic if I get it all set up when it comes of my gaming station :o)
