help with monitor

Hi all just bought a new 30" monitor and set it up but having a major problem with the bottom 3rd of the screen it keeps flickering and ghosting not all the time just now and then, even tieid lowering the res to 1920 x 1200 but it still flickers its conected to a ati 6950 ive tried connecting it to the 2nd port on the card but only get 1280 x 800 but not noticed any flickering I am using a dual DVI cable.

Is it a duff monitor or is it my card. going to try and put my u2410 back on and see if it does it but its been perfectly fine for the 2.5 years its been on there

any help would be greatly recieved as I have no idea what the problem is

just plugged my u2410 back in and its been on for 15-20 minutes and no flickering at all

The second DVI on the HD 6950 is single link so it won't work at, I assume, 2560x1600.

Which 30" monitor?

If it and the HD 6950 have DisplayPort, and you have suitable cable, you can try that.

its a zr30w HP and my 6950 is 1 of the first models so no display port

ok tried different cable and another 6950 which does have a display port still flickering
