corsiar 520W is that ok?
You need to put two 6 pin connectors in for it to work, or one 6 pin connector and one 8 pin connector.
Matthew
Or two 6 pins.
As said that 8pin socket will take 6pin PCI-E connector as well leaving the 2 pins on the left empty. It will work just do it. Does the manual not explain it?
Looking at the shape of the holes, wouldnt it leave the 2 holes on the right of the 8pin empty?
Yeah thats fine, you'll need a 2 molex --> 6 pin PCI-E adaptor so you can connect the second power input.
If you want to overclock with two 6 pins, you will need to use the software called ATI tool or AMD GPU tool to get it working.
(it easily overclocks to XT speeds btw, so you just saved yourself at least £60
)The Corsair HX520 has two dedicated pci-e connectors, no need to use a molex to pci-e adaptor. According to jonny guru's webby, those are nasty anyway and the power delivered is actually reduced. Try and avoid the molex convertors where possible.
Ant > The corsair is fine for the job, and the two 6 pins will work PERFECTLYIf you want to overclock with two 6 pins, you will need to use the software called ATI tool or AMD GPU tool to get it working.
Have fun and enjoy your new card(it easily overclocks to XT speeds btw, so you just saved yourself at least £60

ok thanks all. should i use the ati tool for overclocking or is it easier just to flash the card?

(not sure if the card starts on low clocks when you boot up (before windows)).
