Hi all, i'm experiencing some trouble with my temps. Basically, with the case side on the CPU temps when idle are a good 10-15 c higher than with it off, and so under load the temps are frankly a bit too high for my liking.

Here is a picture of the direction of the airflow inside my case:

some points to make:

- i can't rotate the hsf because the chipset heatsink blocks it. Should the fan be sucking air away from the hsf though?

- i have 4 sata disks in the 3.5" bays, with only the middle bay open. I also have a sata disk in the lowest of the 5.25" bay. Should i try moving some more disks up there? I'm concerned though that because it's only possible to screw the disks in on one side, that this may lead to rattles and vibrations which i really can't stand at all! I don't really want to spend a fortune on internal caddies and the like either.

Any comments certainly welcome. Thanks!

You could move another hard drive up into the 5.25" bays and use the bungee mod to fasten them in so generate less noise and free up some room for your front intake fan

Don't use elastic as that will go brittle with heat over time.

With the orientation of the HSF and fan it's sort of affecting the flow of heat from within the case which should be expelled by the rear fan. Do you have or can you install a top blow hole, that should vent any hot air that gathers at the top of the case.
