As title says lmao... Now long post :)

Ok since i left school i had bad grades, bad grades because i had bike accident and mist 4 months of most important part of my last year of school...

i couldn't go into sixth form because of my bad grades...

so i ended up leaving school 2 years ago now with bad grades, so then thats when you have to think about your life... so JOB....

i live in a small village...the town is 8-10 miles away maybe more...and there is no transport, there is ONE bus a day that leaves at 10:30am for town, and they run on every week day apart from Wednesday...very dogey, in my small village we have A shop and A pub, the pub is closing down and the shop is obviously fully staffed...(small village shop).

Ok so its been 2 years now i have not had one job at all!, i feel really down tbh, my mates have lost respect for me as they think im sitting on my arse all day not even attempting to find a job, they just cant get it into there heads that im in a reallly bad pickle, with no transport, no jobs...there just no way out! and after 2 years im sure i would have thought of something.

the closest i got was to walk to the bus stop 4 miles away every day and go to town.....But then atm im taking jobs not even thinking about transport anyway! but still no luck

i have no money for car lessons, a car would be end of my worries and start of a life for me, but im unlucky that my fammily cant get loans out to help me, and since a close fammily member died from me last year i now have no incoming help.

i have gone on the dole and thats about it, 180 per month, which pays for my phone bills, and my upkeep, i just see no way out at all unless i get a kick start from somewhere in terms of money.

in the last year ive had 2 operations just so i can pursue a career in the army, and in the next month undergoing a 3rd operation just so i can pass my medical in the army! thats how desperate i am.

this thread isnt a life story and isnt wanting sympathy lol, i generally do try and look for jobs and i have been lucky to find 2 job opens that i could get to! which were nights, but i got turned down from them all.

where do i go from here ? what do i do !! im 19 next year, and still no job and no money, gah :(

(college isnt a option i have NO transport unless i get a car, no money to get a car ? where the **** does the money come from then! i can say im in*worst village ever*)

1) Stop spending so much on your 'phone bills'.
2) Buy Tesco Value products
3) Use the money you have left over to pay for driving lessons.
4) Pass driving test
5) ???
6) Profit. Quite literally.

[Alternatively, ask one of your 'friends' to loan you the money until you are on your feet - assuming that they're real friends and that they're financially stable themselves, which if they're laughing at you I assume they are in a comfortable position]

fail

40 pound a week, 25 pound a week up keep on food, which is tiny amount, 5 pound on bills (internet, phone).....8 pound ever fortnight to get a taxi into town. Equals near enough **** all left over, NOTHING for car lessons.

what am i suppose to do about buying a car after passing test..insurance....tax....MOT...petrol.....Seriously think :( i cannot lend ANY money off anyone, if my family had money to lend they could trust me.

i was hoping somewhere out there, there are loans you can take out without having a weekly income, to basically kick start you, like they do with some students, they can claim a free scooter for transport. obviously stupidly high hopes though :p

8-10 miles is walkable for a few weeks until you earn enough to afford a bicycle. Then you can bike it until you earn enough to get a car.

'fail' - wow, way to go with appreciation. I wouldn't hire you. Maybe sort out this attitude before attempting to get a job?

P.S - £25 is a lot on food. A hell of a lot. For one person, you could live off £25 a month. It all boils down to your commitment to making a life for yourself. Maybe your friends are right, you are a bum who is unwilling to change.

as i said im still jumping at chances for jobs without taking consideration of transport, but still no luck

Whats your nearest decent sized town? Find a job there, such as working in retail or a warehouse/office. The Job Centre should be able to arrange interviews for you. Sign up with agencies. Get yourself a bike and pedal into town- and then you'll be getting fit for the army at the same time! ;)

Again thanks for input truly! but were bumping into the same things, i have been to about 15 interviews in last 2 years, no success in any (some will say thats not many) but it is round here. as i said even without transport into consideration im having no look with jobs in town, maybe im rubbish at finding them tbh, comes natural eh, what is the big thing that putting my CV down is the *Do you have your own transport - NO* quite a phew of the employers have said that.

You're not trying hard enough and I also think your friends are right.

Get a second hand bike (someone's already mentioned this) and actually put some effort into getting a job, ANY job, Mcdonalds, shelf stacking, cleaning etc.

A car is not the be all and end all, as said above, stop spending so much on phone bills, get a cheap bike.

From your posts it seems like you just want a car/motorised vehicle, they wouldn't be the solution to all your problems.

Do you know anyone who stays in town? Maybe see if you can kip on their floor for a bit and look around the low end jobs during that time.

No, I don't eat 'grass', but I am a student, and when times are hard I have lived off less. You're kidding yourself if you think that you can't live off that amount. Huge bag of pasta, what, £2? Huge jar of passata, again, £2? There's half a weeks worth for about £4.

Also, you're telling me that there's nothing in your house that you can have? Sounds to me like you're after someone to say 'here's £1000, go find a job, pay it back when you can', of which I know of no such company.

Get a job simple as, when I was young I even went to the local dump to get a bike to be able to get to work, do it, you have no excuses, especially at that age, I'm sorry I'm normally a sympathetic person but I can't find anything on your post to be sympathetic about, I know it's not easy but you just have to grit your teeth, put your chin up and do it.

yeh i went for tesco job couple weeks back shelf stacking, straight NO, no interview or anything :o

Just read the post about the 360. Good luck with the dole! One day when your friends have left you, and you're alone in this small town you will regret not listening to people who are trying to help you get out of this rut. Obviously, not regretting it too much when killing people online with your PS3.

Sorry, but the truth hurts.
